Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Chennai, Vegeo Plastics has been a trusted name in high-quality packaging solutions for nearly five decades. The company was established by Mr. Joseph George, a visionary entrepreneur from Kerala with a strong engineering background and deep industry expertise.

After a successful career at MRF Limited and setting up Devon Plastics for MRF Limited, Mr. George founded Vegeo Plastics, specializing in polythene films, cut rolls, industrial packaging bags, and custom-printed materials. His ability to manufacture critical machinery in-house set the foundation for a business built on innovation and reliability.

In 1980, he was honored with the prestigious “Udyog Patra” Award by the Vice President of India, Shri Hidayatullah, in recognition of his contributions as a self-made industrialist.

In 2003, the business was joined by his son, Thomas George, after completing his Master’s degrees in Marketing Management and in International Business. With a clear vision for growth, Thomas focused on the transformation of Vegeo Plastics by upgrading the facility, infrastructure, and machinery, while also expanding the product lines. His entry brought a distinct business edge—a blend of modern thinking with conventional values, and a renewed focus on customer service and operational excellence. His efforts introduced a contemporary business approach while staying true to the company’s core values.
